Stool Delgado Just Never Learns

Stool Delgado is still at it.

For some dumb reason BC Chair Ed Delgado’s idiotic ‘Guest Editorial published in the February 5, 2014 Kalihwisaks has been republished word-for-word in the ‘Chairman’s Report’ column in the March 6, 2014 Kalihwisaks.

You know, the one where he brainlessly blames General Tribal Council for the incompetence and deceit of Oneida Seven Generations Corp. and the Oneida Business Committee, and where he feigns shock (or is honestly and stupidly surprised) that GTC members would be concerned that OSGC might try to destroy incriminating documents, despite the fact that stolen confidential files from the Oneida Land Commission and Division of Land Management were mysteriously discovered in the dumpsters of the Oneida Gaming Commission in June 2013:

Oneida Eye has already demolished Ed Delgado’s dopey drivel in a previous post:

Apparently Ed hasn’t read it yet because he’s too busy – along with his elder advisor Yvonne Metivier – dimwittedly trying to whip up irrational fears about ‘gangs’ in order to con Tribal members into thinking there’s thugs under their beds, as well as to convince the Business Committee at the March 12, 2014 BC Regular Meeting to waste $75,000 of Tribal funds on some guy from Arizona (where Ed just happens to have been vacationing for the last week. Hmm.).

Why isn’t that money being used to address actual problems given BC Resolution 02-12-14-D, FY14 Revised Emergency Cost Containment & Spending Restrictions?

The BC recently voted to cancel both the March 22 and the April 6, 2014 Special GTC Meetings due to the Tribe’s terrible financial condition, yet somehow the Tribe can afford a $75,000 consultant for an issue that local police recently said in the Green Bay Press Gazette hasn’t really changed or worsened in over a decade?

Ed was supposed to use part of his March 3rd–11th vacation in Arizona to meet with Frank Cornelius because GTC voted for Frank to work with the BC to dissolve OSGC. Frank Cornelius contacted Oneida Eye on Thursday March 6 and said that he had not heard one word from Ed about setting up a meeting with Frank.

UPDATE/CORRECTED: Ed Delgado is back in Wisconsin from his vacation in Arizona and – predictably – braindead Ed totally REFUSED to meet with Frank Cornelius at all DESPITE having been provided money by the BC to rent a car SPECIFICALLY for that meeting.

Instead, Ed is reported to have purchased a 1980’s silver/grey Toyota minivan while in Arizona and driven back to Wisconsin. Whose money did you use, Stool? Yours? The Tribe’s? Or was it from the National Violence Prevention Resource Center in Arizona that you now want the BC to give $75,000 a year from the Tribe’s strained budget?

Instead of wasting the Tribe’s time and money and falsely blaming GTC for the mindless antics of OSGC and the BC, Ed Delgado should use his newspaper column to apologize to the Oneida Tribe and just admit that his three-year term as BC Chair has been an abject failure on his part, to the extent that it hasn’t simply been a nothingburger.
