At the September 21, 2013 GTC Meeting regarding the Tribal Budget the Oneida Eye Publisher who’s a GTC member had the microphone and made a motion to unambiguously affirm General Tribal Council’s right to access Oneida Seven Generations Corporation’s Disclosure Reports as assured by Oneida Law Office Chief Counsel Jo Anne House’s February 15, 2011 legal opinion (bottom of page 5 to top of page 6).
Tribal Chairperson Edward J. Delgado had previously called on the Oneida Eye Publisher and she made it very clear that she wanted to wait to make her motion after the discussion of the motion already being considered was finished and the matter was voted on.
But when the vote on the previous matter was over and the Oneida Eye Publisher made her motion over the sound system, Chairperson Delgado refused to acknowledge the Oneida Eye Publisher and instead chose to recognize and facilitate a motion that was made afterwards by Edwin D. King Jr. to adjourn the meeting.
Edwin D. King Jr. just happens to be the uncle of OSGC Board member & Tribal Director of Legislative Affairs Nathan King as well as the brother of OSGC’s CFO & CEO Bruce King.
He also hosted the sweat lodges of the Oneida Chapter of the Native American Church.
Yes, that Edwin D. King Jr.
