Below is a video of part of the July 24, 2013 Oneida Business Committee Regular Meeting. Those meetings are open to the public and the media but you have to log in to the ‘Members Only’ section of the Tribe’s website to view them online. Watch and you’ll see why.
Notice how Council member Brandon Stevens keeps saying that he wants to ask GTC to deny themselves a stipend via the agenda of “the next GTC meeting,” which would be the September 21, 2013 Budget Meeting.
Brandon only wants to try to find a way to discourage as many GTC members as possible from attending future GTC meetings because he believes that the cabal of OSGC supporters will somehow save the doomed Tribally-owned corporation from the majority of GTC members which Brandon knows will probably vote to dissolve OSGC when given the facts and the chance.
See Vice-Chairperson Greg Matson say he wants to “kick it into high gear.” In other words, kick GTC in the rear and grab their wallet when it falls out. If it were up to Greg GTC could only spend their $100 stipend on ‘Greg Matson’s Down-Home Biscuit Mix & Horse Jerky (now with glass shards!).’
Observe the silence among OBC members around the 11 minute 10 second mark when Oneida Eye Publisher Leah Sue Dodge asks how the OBC would respond to a request to place an item on GTC’s agenda about ending OSGC Board members’ stipends.
Listen to Brandon Stevens at 12 minutes 50 seconds contrast the petition process with Council member & Legislative Operating Committee Chair Melinda Danforth’s Executive Asst. Lisa Summers making her “request in a professional fashion,” thereby suggesting that the petition process is somehow unprofessional. You know what’s actually ‘unprofessional’? Putting a felonious burglar in charge of the Tribe’s Audit Committee.
Watch Lisa Summers stupidly claim that “a petition is to call for a special GTC meeting” and that her way of going around the normal protocol is somehow “fiscally responsible.” Is she really that ignorant or just a really bad actress? She needs to go back to clown school and bone up.
Did you hear at the 15 minute 50 seconds mark when Lisa Summers says “when it gets to us“? That’s because she’s the right hand of Legislative Operating Committee Chair Melinda Danforth to whom her request should have gone in the first place. She didn’t want to do it that way because she knows it likely would never have gone anywhere due to objections by Oneida Tribe members so she wants OBC to commit to putting it on a future GTC agenda so that she, Melinda and Brandon can bludgeon the GTC with it.
Why does LOC Vice-Chair Brandon Stevens keep talking about whether OBC “can stomach this”? Is it because he knows that he gives everyone who listens to him for more than 30 seconds indigestion?
Notice how Chief Counsel Jo Anne House never acknowledges that putting things on the GTC agenda this way is weird given the fact that GTC has already said ‘No’ to this same proposal at least three times already.
Here’s a free clue for Jo Anne House, Greg Matson, Brandon Stevens, Paul Ninham and Patty Hoeft: ‘No’ means no. When GTC says ‘No’ three times they mean ‘No.’ When you keep asking them if they’ll change their minds it’s creepy (and predatory).
Pay attention at the 45 minute 30 second mark as it turns out that this whole hullabaloo is the work of Council member Brandon Stevens who – rather than simply ask as a Council member & LOC’s Vice-Chair that GTC be allowed to once again tell him and OBC, ‘Keep Your freaking sticky fingers off of OUR stipend‘ – seems to be using Council member Melinda Danforth’s Executive Assistant Lisa Summers to do his dirty work posing as a mere “Oneida Tribal member” and the chosen representative for clandestine fools on Facebook.
Everyone should recall that one of Melinda Danforth’s biggest campaign supporters was Brian Doxtator. Yes, that Brian Doxtator.
This video shows exactly the motive behind Brian Doxtator and the rest of the OSGC fan club:
