Pursuant to our post from yesterday, How Much Worse Can It Get?, Oneida Eye can report that the Business Committee is scheduled to hold an Emergency Executive Session at noon Friday November 22, 2013, to address concerns in the Oneida Tribal community and among some Tribal employees that – despite the GTC’s overwhelming vote on May 5, 2013 to direct the BC to forbid Oneida Seven Generations Corporation from constructing or operating any kind of incinerator anywhere on the Oneida reservation – a prohibited incinerator has in fact been in operation on the Oneida reservation.
If true, this should result in dire consequences for those Tribal employees or those of Tribally-chartered corporations and their subsidiaries, as well as elected officials who knew about the situation and either aided & abetted its existence or did nothing to bring it to a halt once they learned of it.
Here is a copy of the meeting agenda:
Which says:
A. Executive Session In accordance with provisions of the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin Open Records and Open Meetings Law, Chapter 7, sections 7.20-1 and 7.4-1, the Committee will move into executive session to discuss confidential information or to obtain legal advice. After discussion, the Committee will move back into open session to take any action on executive session items discussed on this agenda.

Based on direct observations Oneida Eye believes the property in question may be 1201 O’Hare Boulevard, Hobart, Wisconsin (or is that DePere, Wisconsin?) which happens to be located across the street from the Green Bay Elite Cheer Co. (1194 O’Hare Blvd., DePere, WI) owned by Cherokee Greendeer (contact info) whose brother, Jon Greendeer, is President of the Ho-Chunk Nation.
Here’s an overhead view of 1201 O’Hare Blvd (bottom of photo) and Green Bay Elite Cheer Co. (center of photo) [Click to enlarge]:
1201 O’Hare Boulevard is listed in OSGC’s FY 2012 report as being owned 100% by them:
The information can be confirmed at the Brown County Land Records Search page by typing the parcel number, HB-327-2, which also shows that the parcel is taxable land and the Town of Hobart owns tax free land next to it which is “dedicated to the public” (bright green area in the overhead photo above):
Here’s a picture of the building from the bottom of the page at OSGC.net/buildings.php:
Records show that 1201 O’Hare Boulevard was the home of 4 Star Equipment Inc. (Hobart), which WDFI.org lists as ‘Delinquent’ as of April 1, 2013 [Click to enlarge]:
The same address is also listed as the offices of C & H Enterprises (DePere) for which Matthew R. Olson is listed as the Registered Agent, though the company is listed as being ‘Delinquent’ as of October 1, 2013:
The air at 1201 O’Hare Boulevard was thick with what smelled of melted/combusted plastics and it is likely not the quality of air that families enrolled at the gymnastics, dance & cheer facility across the street want their kids breathing deeply. It will be interesting, to say the least, to see what the reactions of concerned citizens of Hobart, DePere and the Oneida reservation will be.
Oneida Eye will post more information as it becomes available.
